The Miami Dolphins star receiver suffered a potential season-ending injury when he won the New York Jets 27-21 in “Monday Night Football.”
The Dolphins coach said after the game, Hill dislocated his left knee and will remain hospitalized overnight for further testing.
Multiple media outlets report that the hill has torn multiple ligaments in his knee, including his ACL, and undergoes reconstructive surgery on Tuesday.
Hill was injured early in the third quarter, earning a 10-yard pass from the quarterback and working on the Jets rookie Malaki Moore. Hill’s knees were twisted badly, and the air cast was placed on his feet.
The eighth Pro Bowl choice remained bright even after the injury, joking with his teammates and gestured with laughter at the Miami crowd as he was carried off the field.
“He was probably in the best spirit of a player who has ever had such a terrible experience I’ve ever seen (has),” McDaniel said. “He immediately had wide eyes and said, ‘I’m fine, make sure everyone gets this victory.’ He was focused on the team. ”
In an interview from the hospital on Monday night, the agent drew Rosenhouse in Miami and the mentality of his client remained high as he waited for an MRI exam and a CT scan to determine the extent of his injury.
“I can’t tell you how impressed I was with his mental strength, his uplifting attitude,” Rosenhaus said. “He keeps a smile on his face and says he is blessed with himself and his parents for being blessed with him. He was watching the game. He was cheering for his teammates. He was cheering for his team.
Dolphins offensive lineman Terron Armstead made a similar update on the speedy receiver on Monday night.
On X (formerly Twitter), “I received a FaceTime Call from my brother @cheetah.” “The first thing he said was, “The man is happy that we got that victory”!!
