According to the Fox Business Report, the US Treasury Department is reportedly planning to plant US President Donald Trump’s face and a new $1 coin. Coin celebrates Trump and marks the 250th anniversary of America’s founding. “Under the historic leadership of President Donald J. Trump, our country celebrates its 250th anniversary and is stronger, more prosperous and better entering than ever,” a Treasury spokesman told Fox Business.
“While the final one-dollar coin design has not yet been selected to commemorate the US semi-calcentennial, this first draft well reflects the enduring spirit of our nation and democracy, even in the face of immeasurable obstacles. A draft image of the coin is rounded on social media, drawing Trump in front of the American flag with his fist raised. This image resembles the widely circulating picture of Trump responding to his ear injuries during his assassination attempt last year.
The last commemorative coin issued was Harriet Tubman and the largest generation coin issued in 2024, selling a total of 56,894 and 79,980 coins, respectively. The best-selling commemorative coin of all time was the statue of the US Freedom Coin in 1986, selling nearly 15.5 million coins.
The Trump $1 coin could be released in early 2026, but the official launch date is yet to be known.
