If there’s one thing that’s certain Total War: Warhammer 3What makes it on our list of the best strategy games is its sheer scale. From the cinematic tales of Realm of Chaos to the gigantic one-on-one battles of Domination mode, never buckle under the pressure of hordes of minions fighting to the death under your control. If you want to buy it for just $15 / £11.49 and launch 7 other games, get Humble Choice for a month (cancel once you get the offer).
I’ll never forgive developer Creative Assembly and publisher Sega for inevitably killing off Hyena, but I can convince them with the fun of good old Total War: Warhammer 3. After all, my forgiveness can be bought. Sure, Total War is a giant of the genre, but Warhammer’s fantasy world makes it even more appealing and will keep you hooked for just one more round.
I personally don’t spend a lot of time playing multiplayer in these types of games. That’s just because I’m not good at games. But those who want multiplayer have plenty of options. However, you don’t need anything that will hurt your self-esteem. So it helps that Realm of Chaos’ story is great and offers a truly memorable experience, meeting an unforgettable cast of characters with fascinating relationships and rivalries.
But the real fun is Immortal Empires. It combines all three Total Warhammer games into one huge experience, including races, campaign maps, and more. That means there are 86 playable legendary lords with over 270 starting factions across a huge map of 533 regions. This is essentially a massive map-wide campaign that promises endless chaos.
It’s no surprise that we’re fans of the trilogy here at . Richard Scott Jones gives the game a huge score of 9/10 in his review of Total War: Warhammer 3. In it, he said the game “boasts not only the best and most diverse single-player campaign of all time, but also a revolution in multiplayer.” I’m having a great time.
Recent DLCs and updates have introduced some frustrating bugs and issues, but they don’t take away from the quality of the core experience. What’s more, it’s the most cost-effective way to get the game, with the $14.99 / £11.49 price divided by the eight free games you get, making it the cheapest yet. Considering you only need to sign up for Humble Choice and can cancel your subscription and keep your games, this is a pretty good deal.
