Exploration allows you to battle hordes of new and revived monsters of gigantic size across the world’s different biomes, and harvest their resources to create new weapons and equipment to take on even larger creatures.

But speaking from experience, you don’t need to have played any other games in the Monster Hunter series to enjoy Wild. I had never played a Monster Hunter game until I played Monster Hunter Wild. The learning curve was definitely steep, but it didn’t take long before I found myself muttering “one more hunt” when I should have been in bed.
