The house burned out after more than two years of threats from people in the area who repeatedly said they would burn it. We reported these threats in multiple eras.
After that, Tristan said,When we returned to the site to check out the mail, we discovered that the skull of one of our dogs and its harness had a clear view. This caused both of us to suffer serious emotional distress. We began to scream and cry in response to the pain of what we saw. The man approached us while we were doing this. He began screaming violent homophobic slander at us. He then raised the gun from his knee and fired. Jonathan and I had no weapons. We weren’t threatening anyone. We were sad. We stood side by side. When the man fired me, Jonathan pushed me out of the way. He saved my life. ”
Meanwhile, the San Antonio Police Department said in a statement that “despite online claims that this is a hate crime, the investigation currently finds no evidence that Joss’ murder is linked to his sexual orientation.”
