Where are the shards of the Silkson mask? Like Hollow Knight, these hidden items are used to upgrade your health. They are not essential, but finding them early will help you stay alive against the bosses and subsequent territories that tame you like tough.
You will need four mask shards to unlock the new health upgrade for Hollow Knight Silksong. There are 20 mask shards in total. That is, in Metroidvania games, there are five health upgrades for the grab. Most are hidden in secret areas of Silksong maps and can only be accessed after unlocking certain abilities. However, the greater your health, the more generous the Silk Song bosses are, so it’s worth the extra effort to find them all.

Bone base mask shard
Consult with Pebb on the bone base and buy this mask shard for 300 rosary. This is a huge sum, especially in early games, so swing at our favorite Silkson Rosary Farm location and get it early.
Farfields Mask Shard (1)
Use the winds to the right of the tailor to bang on the explosive rocks to explode them, reaching the path on the top left. Use the wind flow to follow the path to avoid thorns until you reach an explosive rock hanging from the ceiling. Use the wind current on the right to hit it and stand behind as it falls and explodes revealing the mask shard in the gap below.
Farfields Mask Shard (2)
This mask shard requires a grappling hook. Follow the tailor’s pass s0utheast and enter a huge skull. Complete a battle challenge suspended on lava and reach the wind to the right.
Wormway Mask Shard
This mask shard is located just below the shortcut that can be unlocked with Silk Song Simple Key. You also need a Silk Song Dash feature that crosses the gap between Moss Home and Wormway. Falls into the water below, bumping into the wall on the right, revealing a secret room holding the mask shard.
Shellwood Mask Shard
This mask shard is located west of Bellway and just north of Silkson Ross chisel in this area. Bouncing across the grapes, breaking down the wall on the right and crossing the spike pit. Cut the grapes and release the mask shard.
Deep Dock Mask Shard
This mask shard requires a drifter’s cloak and wall jump ability. Starting in the room under the marrow bench, jump to a small shelf in front of the lava lake, with the wall jumping up. Past the enemy, dash to the right and fly onto the metal platform until you reach the path on the right. Proceed until you reach this mask shard. Don’t forget to press the level to the right to open this shortcut.
Bell Heart Mask Shard (1)
Please accept Savage Beastfly Side Quest from Bellhart Wishwell. Defeat the savage beasts in the hunter’s march and receive fragments of the horn. Return to Bellhart Wishwell and submit a quest to automatically receive the mask shard.
Blast Step Mask Shard
To reach this mask shard, you will need the Silk Song’s double jump and grappling hook ability. Continue to the southwest corner of the biome until you reach a metal structure placed in the rocks, indicated by three vertical lines on the map.
Use the grappling hook to skip the platform section and reach the shelf below the north road. Navigate through walls, spikes, enemies and falling boulders to reach the mask shard in the top left of this room.
Slab Mask Shard
This mask shard requires the Silk Song Apostasy Key. Quickly head out of the Broodmother Boss Room and unlock the door at the top of the central room in this area. Step into the pressure plate to activate the rotating traps in this area, and bounce back repeatedly to reach the wall on the right. The wall jumps to the ceiling and then jumps out of the pogo from the trap as it moves left and reaches the soul mask on the opposite shelf.
Weavenest Atla Mask Shard
Use Needlin to access this area. This area is automatically obtained after defeating Silkson’s widow. Head through the teleporter to the lower level and the wall climbs to the right. Go up and take the first pass on the right. Avoid spikes and lava lakes and go right.
The wall climb and pogo cross the gap until you reach a stable ledge, then turn around and raise the pogo up to the wall on the right. Hop on a higher gaze before heading out Pogo towards the Mask Shard. Be careful of the lava flow.
Mount Faymask Shard (1)
This mask shard is located in the lower right corner of the area map and also requires a double jump function. Continue left from the bench until you reach the foundation of the narrow tower. Use a double jump to reach the hollow ruins in the tower just above, then make a wall jump to reach the mask shard above your head.
Mount Faymask Shard (2)
This mask shard is located in the middle of the area map southeast of the Silkson Flea location. Stand on an ice platform and use a grappling hook to break the ice wall directly above and enter a secret tunnel. Go right and use your grappling hook to break through the ceiling at the edge of the path and access the passage on the right.
As soon as you enter the next room, use a grappling hook, then climb onto the wall and climb the enemy up the cave. Note that you need to double jumps and slide at certain locations. Break the rock coco hanging from the ceiling at the top of this road to free the mask shard.
Choral chamber mask shard
After defeating the Cogwork Dancer, you can get this mask shard. Drop down to the left, then glide to reach the left path set in the center of the wall. Complete the Battle Challenge Room, hit the lever on the left, and climb to the secret path where the wall leads to the mask shard.
Whispering Vault Mask Shard
This mask shard is easy to reach, but requires a grappling hook. Go to the room directly below the bench at the top of the area map. Stand in the middle of the room between the battered drapes hanging from the ceiling, then use a grappling hook to reach the shelf above. Break the container and release the mask shard.
Building Water Mask Shard
You can reach this mask shard from the center of the Silksong Bilewater area map, and you need a grappling hook function to reach it. Go along the main tunnel shaft and take the route to the right. Instead of going up to the bench and going to the right, cross the spikes and follow the path on the right at the same level.
The walls climb into a wooden structure and go to the right. Avoid the glove that pops out of the water and climb the structure at the edge of the path with the walls. Continue the path and then use the final platform to jump and install the final wooden structure. The mask is in the top right.
wisp bush mask shard
This mask shard is up to the right from the bench of this biome. Follow the path until Y0U reaches the poison pool and use a combination of double jumps, wall climbing and grappling hooks to cross the spikes and reach the upper floor mask shard.

Bell Heart Mask Shard (2)
This soul mask is available only in Silkson Curtain 3. Accept the hidden Hunter Side Quest from Bell Heart Wishwell. Track it, defeat Gar the Outcasts at farfield and head left from the boss room. You will hit the rope to retrieve the grass doll, then return to Bell Heart Wishwell, spin the quest and automatically receive the mask shard.
Bell Heart Mask Shard (3)
This soul mask is available only in Silk Song Act 3. Accept the Dark Heart Side Quest from Bell Heart Wishwell. Destroy all blank spaces throughout Falroom, return to Bell Heart Wishwell, spin the quest and automatically receive the mask shard.
Farfields Mask Shard (3)
This soul mask is only available in Silk Song Act 3. Meet Sprint Master Swift, located at the corner of the Far East of the Area Map. Accept the fastest of Pharloom Quest, defeat Swift in all three races to complete the quest, and receive masked shards automatically.
