Esther Gonzalez scored goals in half of each, and Gotham FC was blown 4-0 on Friday night.
Gonzalez scored at BMO Stadium with a shot from inside the box that bouncing off the post in the 18th minute. She took the second with her head flick on Sarah Spansky’s corner kick in the 75th minute.
Gotham (2-2-1) went 2-0 with a goal from Morimoto Miyakuni after an unusual deflection looped over Angel City goalkeeper Angelina Anderson in the 67th minute. They scored their first NWSL goal in the 85th minute, making it 4-0.
Angel City fell to 2-2-1.
Elsewhere in the NWSL, Seattle rulers defeated Portland and the Thorns 1-0, while the Utah Royals defeated the Chicago Star 1-0.
