healthy person This is one of the best D&D games I’ve ever played. Blending vibrant cartoon graphics with the chaos of an actual D&D session, I’d argue that this game is even closer to IRL tabletop gameplay than the mighty Baldur’s Gate 3. Anjali Bhimani’s quirky narration and OTT accent capture the sense of playfulness that defines the very essence of Dungeons and Dragons. The latest update 1.5 adds a brand new one-shot system, allowing you to compete with your friends and earn points. Additionally, four new missions of varying difficulty have been added to the pool. These are very interesting times, and we’ve locked down to ask our development team all about this.
Secret Door Director Chris Sigaty (Warcraft 3, Starcraft 2) and Sunderfolk Technical Director Alan Dabiri (Warcraft 3, Heroes of the Storm) will be joining us on Discord on Tuesday, November 11th at 10:00 AM PT / 1:00 PM ET / 6:00 PM GMT / 7:00 PM CST. We have a live demo of the latest Thunderfolk update and an AMA where you can pose all your questions to the team.
It’s also a great time to buy Secret Door’s debut title, as it’s currently 40% off on Steam. There’s also a free trial if you want to try it out. Thankfully, only one person owns the game and everyone can participate. You can visit and join our free community Discord. We’re also giving away 4 free Steam codes to 4 lucky winners.
If you haven’t played Thunderfolk yet, please give it a try. Set in a luxurious world ruled by magic, players are tasked with fighting off an ancient evil that threatens to overwhelm and corrupt the land of Arden. Combat is turn-based and plays out similar to Baldur’s Gate 3, Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader, and other RPGs, but with the added bonus of a Fate card deck, which adds a slightly roguelike feel to every battle.
There’s also an adorable roster of animal adventurers (my personal favorite is the bat bard), and you can play with up to four players or completely solo. However, all actions take place on your phone. You can move your character, choose attacks, and draw fate cards all from the comfort of your couch. Only one player needs to own the game for everyone to play. Trust me when I say this game quickly became a board game night favorite.

Once again, ‘s Thunderfolk AMA begins on Tuesday, November 11th at 10am PT, 1pm ET, 6pm GMT, and 7pm CET. Join our Discord here and get 40% off the game.
If you can’t make it this time, we’ll be sharing the full video on our YouTube channel and some snippets on TikTok. Otherwise, watch this space for more great AMAs to come.
