Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (GA) made two very important points following news that President Joe Biden was dropping his re-election bid. One of them was the obvious demand that he resign.
Biden announced Sunday that he was dropping out of the race due to unrelenting pressure from people in his own party. He later voiced his support for Vice President Kamala Harris.
“It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as your President,” Biden said in a statement posted on social media.
“And while it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term,” he wrote.
One has to wonder just how bad it has to be for Biden to issue a statement on social media regarding a monumental decision to drop out at this late stage.
Biden did say he would address the nation later in the week regarding his decision.

Greene Points Out Election Is Not About Biden, Never Was
Greene responded to the news on X making two keen observations. One, Donald Trump and the Republicans have never been running against Biden, the man.
They’ve been running against the people who are actually running the country behind the scenes. That movement needs to be defeated in November.
“President Trump has never just been running against Joe Biden,” she wrote. “He’s been running against the destruction of America brought by Democrats and their policies.”
“Kamala. Michelle. Hillary. It doesn’t matter who they pick,” added Greene. “2024 is open borders vs secure border. Globalism vs Nationalism. Collapsed economy vs strong economy.”
Biden is simply a vessel for progressives seeking to destroy the nation according to this line of thinking.
Greene Demands Biden Resign
Greene then proceeded to point out the obvious. If President Biden is too cognitively impaired to run a re-election campaign, how can he possibly run the country?
“And if Joe Biden cannot run for re-election because he is mentally unfit (you know, the reason the Democrats and their billionaire oligarchs pressured him to drop out) then he must IMMEDIATELY resign,” she said.
The National Review editorial board reiterated the call for Joe Biden to resign.
“Biden should take the next logical step and resign the presidency,” the editorial board wrote.
“It’s possible to imagine a president not being able to campaign but still being capable of carrying out his official duties — say, if he had a serious physical impairment,” the column continued. “And it is even possible to imagine a president who could serve for another six months but not another four and a half years.”
“But such scenarios do not apply to Biden.”
It’s obvious to everyone with a working set of eyes and ears that the President is not fit to run the country. But should Biden resign?
Next up is Kamala. You know, the one who had to drop out of the Democrat primary because Biden wiped the floor with her. The Dems don’t exactly have a deep bench here.
