p’s lie Soulslike is not only deeply inspired by them, but also has the goal of becoming the greatest ever in the genre, but it’s embarrassing to Soulslike. To some extent, I think it achieved that goal – although it may not be as exceptional as Eldenling or Bloodborne, it offers all the dark, challenging RPG action you want, wrapping it in a novel setting with a clear style. With this year’s Overture DLC coming, the director’s lies reveal some more details about it, and acknowledges that his recent praise for Eldenling Night Grain has made him “open” to “consider” the co-op game.
As mentioned earlier, P’s Lies has this year’s DLC, which is very interesting. But it doesn’t add much in ways of gameplay innovation. Instead, it’s the prequel to the base game story with several new weapon types thrown at them. But you might want to shake up the sequel a bit.
Speaking to GDC journalists, Choi Ji-won has been gasping up his recent public playtest for the Eldenling Night League.
“I tried it (nightreign), and it was very refreshing and new,” he tells Eurogammer. “It clearly gave me the impression they were good developers, they always pushed their boundaries, their imagination and vision, and that shows.
He went on to say that the overture is always a single-player extension that slots into the false story of P’s base game, but he is “open” to supporting the cooperative with “future effort.”
A similar sentiment said, “We had to really focus on providing a premium single-player gaming experience. So incorporating something like cooperatives really didn’t focus on us. But it wasn’t part of the scope.
Now this is purely speculative on my part, and absolutely nothing has been said to the public servants about the lie of P2 (or whatever title it is), but I have the creeping suspicion that Choi is watching the support of the sequel’s co-op. Most of the top Soulsriks keep things single-player, but there are multiplayer bangers like Remnant 2. Of course, nightleague could potentially increase the profile and demand for more cooperative experiences later this year.

Away from cooperative speculation, Choi said that P’s Overture DLC lies are expected to have “seamless” access from Chapter 9 of the base game, and that experienced players will win 15-20 hours of playtime.
P Overtuer DLC’s Lies are scheduled to arrive in the summer of 2025. Until then, you can immerse yourself in other sensational RPGs or check out what else you can find in your upcoming PC Game Guide.
