in spite of Gate 3 of Baldur Icons like Astalion, Hall of Fame for beloved game characters, RPGs are huge canvas for the mod itself, so fans are surprised and sad, and Coast Wizard (licenser for dungeons and dragons) are sad to see that DMCA was popular Stardew Valley mod. Baldur’s Village will put Romance Astalion in the game, among other additions, but is currently unavailable following the takedown notification. After some important comments from WOTC, the game director of Baldur’s Gate 3 and co-founder of Swen Vincke, co-founder of Larian Studios, WOTC apologises and admits the takedown notification was a mistake.
Larian confirmed last year that the next project was not set for Gate 4 of Baldur or the DND universe for that, but that was a positive and friendly terminology, and ended his team up with the Wizard’s Coast. I hope so too, considering the studio has created one of the greatest RPGs of all time. However, the incredibly popular village of Stardew Valley Mod Baldur has been temporarily removed from the Nexus Mod as it has acquired a DMCA gun-pleasing trigger as a result of either the real mistakes of WOTC or the heavy handed legitimate people.
The village of Brilliant Bardeur is essentially adding bonus towns to Stardew Valley, which features new traders and taverns. It also falls to the hosts of Bardur’s Gate 3 characters, especially the aforementioned Romantic Astalion. It was a real hit, but if you look at the list of Nexus Mods, you’ll see that it’s currently under review.
In a statement sent to PC gamers, Nexus Mods confirms that the village of Baldur has in fact been targeted by the Wizards of the Coast Takedown notification. A Nexus spokesman described it as “an incredibly creative crossover for Stardew Valley, the community loves,” adding, “hopefully this is surveillance from WOTC.”
As the story cycles, it is attracting attention by Vinchique, who criticizes the situation. “Free, high quality fan mods that highlight characters from other game genres prove that they are in the form of resonance and word-of-mouth words of your work. Following on, he adds: “It can be difficult to protect your IP, but I hope this will be resolved. There are good ways to deal with this.”
Now, the Coast Wizard admits this fiasco and says he had no intention of defeating the mod. “Baldur’s Village DMCA Takedown was published incorrectly. We are sorry about that,” he said in a statement sent to the media. “We are now in the process of fixing that the fans and the Stardew community are enjoying this amazing mod!”
Haha! I have seen many exciting remodeling and ambitious fan projects being cut down by publishers and rights holders over the years. I am pleased that the village of Baldur is not one of them. I’m particularly excited about “Xun”, the creator of the mod.
