Hello, welcome to another edition of Prep Rally. I Eric Sondheimer. If everything goes as expected, Matt Logan According to a record on Calhisports.com, Corona Centennial won 300 career victory on Thursday night and will become the 15th coach in state history to achieve that mark.
Logan Way
It will be corona party time on Thursday night when Centennial hosts East Vale Roosevelt. Centennials become a big favorite to deliver 300 wins for their coaches Matt Loganmade his program one of Southern California’s most consistent and perhaps the top public school football program for its 29th season.
Apart from St. John Bosco and Matter Day, Centennial is the last team to win the Southern Section title in 2015. His team won the 10 South Section titles and the state title in 2018. His influence is immeasurable.
22 former Centennial players have reached the NFL. Over 250 players have reached university ranks. He became a trendsetter with his quick tempo and rude attacks, where officials need to be in good condition due to the speed at which the Husky snaps the ball after the whistle is blown away. He became a coach, not afraid of anyone playing, scheduling home and away games with Mater Dei, playing IMG Academy in Florida, and playing three Trinity League opponents this season.
Over the years, whenever there was an opening at a top private school, Logan’s name was mentioned as a candidate. However, Noco’s high alumni never left the community in which he grew up.
“I don’t think our school district and our area would be recognized without him.” Anthony Catalanoformer quarterback and current assistant coach. “It changed the outlook for our community and kept a lot of people home. It set the standard for what our expectations are.”
I have seen some of Logan’s biggest wins and some of his toughest losses over the years. It was in the 2015 PAC-5 Championship Game. In 2014 it was called “Aggressive Madness” beyond Gardena Serra. there was
The most memorable moments always lie at the end of the final game or final practice. The whole team line up to pay tribute to all the seniors. Logan gives each senior a hug, offering words of gratitude and encouragement. It embraces a teenager preparing to become an adult.
The Trinity League will begin soccer action this week. Get ready for the 5-week grind that will end with Halloween. St. John Bosco hosts Mater Dei. On Friday, St. John Bosco plays the JSERRA, Mater Dei plays Orange Lutheran at Orange Coast College, and Santa Margarita plays servite at Santa Ana Stadium.
All six teams continue to compete for the Southern Section Division 1 playoffs. What’s important is the number of teams selected in Division 1. Corona Centennial, Mission Viejo and Sierra Canyon are specific choices. If the southern section uses only eight teams, one Trinity League team will not achieve that. Ten teams were selected last season. Los Alamitos is 7-0 with the candidates taking part in three league games with Edison, San Clemente and Mission Viejo. Rankings are done by
