Melee weapon
Hardcore players will know that stock melee weapons simply can’t stand when fighting the toughest zombies. To improve weapon types from mid- to late game, Josefpatch added 22 additional melee weapons in 7 days to die with weapons in several destruction mods.
You can disable any of the new melee weapons before enabling the mod. Find them, create them, and get them. Here are some of the melee weapons you can add to the game, such as this mod, Halberd, Battle Ax, Claymore, Mace, Spears, Knive, Sword, and more.
Skin Plus
Yes, that’s another HUD mod. This time it’s from Auroragigglefairy, and I think this is worth emphasising. We are not criticizing stocks in any way, but HUD Plus offers you the freedom to customize each element to your liking. It also includes many quality of life tweaks, including expanding the compass. The chat box does not block the screen area. There is also a fifth craft slot to make lifespan a little easier.
Vehicle FPV Camera
Although a small tweak, what can create an overall more immersive experience is maintaining a first-person perspective when driving the vehicle. That’s exactly what a vehicle FPV camera mod does. It remains in the character’s body, whether riding a motorcycle or piloting a chopper.
Walking Dead Pore
Use the Mackenzix Walking Dead Poi Pack to role-play the next level over seven days, providing access to seven locations inspired by the iconic zombie series. It is important to note that these places of interest are not 1:1 recreation of the locations. They are simply inspired by The Walking Dead. This is a list of POIs included in the pack: Alexandria, CDC, Woodbury, Prison, Hilltop, Hospital, Herschel Farms.
The horn opens the door
This is a useful quality of life tweak that will make you wonder how you lived. The Horns Open Doors Mod does exactly what it says and allows you to open the door to the base using the horn of the vehicle. This may not look like a game changer on paper, but we need to think about a scenario where this can be useful. Imagine you’re chased by countless zombies. Having the ability to open the base door can save your life many times in the future.
Temean’s booty indicator
If you’re worried about walking by the precious booty right away, Themeanone’s booty indicator mod is an essential addition to 7 days to die. This simple mod adds bright color indicators to your screen, letting you know when you’re close to looting and how far it is. Additionally, different types of loot have different colour indicators, such as vehicle booty containers and boss booty. So you don’t have to get in the way for things you don’t need.
Night Rock’s WMD
If something makes the apocalypse easier to exchange, it is a weapon of mass destruction. Courtesy of Knightlock’s WMDS mod, these explosive new weapons deal very satisfying damage to enemy groups. The mod introduces five new weapons, including a sniper rifle with explosive ammunition and a sawtooth shotgun with slugs from the baking Cen.
Drietzler classifies everything into chests
Returning to the base after a booty run usually means that you have to spend a little time sorting out your gross profits in your small cubby hole. Since we’ve categorized all types of Dryzler into Chest Mods (descriptive, right?), we just need to press left Alt and Numpad 0 and sort everything in stock into a nearby chest. Decent!
World Lighting Adjustment
As we discuss a bit below with the HDHQ overhaul mod, graphics aren’t 7 days to die for, but that’s why they have the mod, right? HDHQ offers more overhauls for the game’s appearance, but the world’s lighting is concentrated on lighting and shadows. As the sun casts bright rays across the world and the shadows become darker and clearer, you can see the difference from the image above.
Script vanilla expanded – Gourmet
According to the Nexus page of this mod, the goal is to die in a cooking simulator for seven days. Even if you turn your survival game into a cooking game, Script’s The Gourmet Mod adds incredible new content to the culinary aspect of seven days. There are new ingredients, new recipes and new items, such as chicken coops, animal traps, butcher tables. It may be a book of revelation, but who said you can’t eat like a king yet?
HDHQ overhaul
There are many things you can die for seven days, but um, graphics aren’t necessarily those strong suits. Thankfully, Dust2Death has put together an HDHQ overhaul. HDHQ Overhaul is a huge visual mod that dramatically changes the grass and water textures, in addition to changing the lighting system to make the game great day and night. It won’t end as you will also check out new vehicles, terrain textures, and weapon skins. If you have a strong enough computer, this should be one of the first mods to download.
Lock pick the door
This mod is recommended only if you do not consider this misconduct and are satisfied with the mega boost to natural abilities. But as you can imagine, you can lock the door by locking it.
Firearm expansion
As you can expect from the name, the 1.0 Firearms Expansion 5 mod adds multiple new weapons to build, all compatible with existing ammunition and mods. This mod adds a whopping 28 new weapon schematics, so there are plenty of options as you build your weapons.
Plunder everything!
FNS looting mods are a great way to give yourself some help. all It can be plundered. Cardboard box? Can be plundered. computer? Can be plundered. piano? Can be plundered. However, don’t worry. This mod makes things easier, but it’s not entirely an OP, as the creators recognize the need for balance. They recently nerfed the cardboard box booty table.
fps lootables
Fluffernuttersandwich himself, all the creators of the booty! If you want to be able to plunder everything, but not, I recommend this very similar mod very It’s very easy. Like the mods above, FPS Lootables allows you to loot vehicles and other previously uninstalled containers. Inside you can find items related to where you are searching, such as tractor seeds, and in very few amounts to avoid making things too easy.
More skill points
Leveling up can be a boring task, but using the skill point mod with Knightly19 allows you to change the way skill points are distributed with each level up. You have the option to choose between 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, and 10x skill points earned for each level, allowing you to get significantly stronger in a rather short amount of time.

I removed some mods from this list as they have not been updated to the latest version yet. One of them was the popular SMX UI MOD that has not been updated since August 2023.
One of them is 0xSteel. He created the Steelui mod. This dark theme changes the appearance of existing HUDs and UIs, adding beneficial features such as vehicle bars, hunger and water levels, and ammunition count.
Jakmeister999’s Enhanced HUD
Like Steelui, Jakmeister999’s enhanced HUD adds a bunch of changes in quality of life.
Jakmeister mods add food and water bars, including health bars and stamina bars, numbers to tool belt slots, player levels, core temperature, air temperature, elevation to compass, and more. You can also add enemy health bars if you wish, but this add-on is optional. I also shared another mod for that.
Enemy’s health
You can add enemy health with Jakmeister’s enhanced HUD, but you may need another UI mod, or you may be happy with enemy health bars or vanilla HUD in the game. In that case, Kreedyk’s enemy Health Mod can be useful, allowing you to see how dead your target enemy is. This will always help you decide which weapons to tackle, or simply whether you survived the battle.
Craft from the container
Another almost essential quality of life changes. This is a craft from the Containers Mod, and as expected, you can view the craft menu from any container item. The ability to access the craft screen from any container is a game changer, as you know that if you need to keep going back to a particular workbench, the craft game can be a bit tiring. Note that some of the mods in this list work with older versions of the game, but crafting from containers is specially created for 1.0. The older version is here.
Color blind mod for truly dead corn
We love it when game developers incorporate a lot of accessibility features and consider the needs of certain groups when creating games, but these things can slip through the cracks.
Color blind gamer Ushulgrim created this fantastic mod and cleared it as it looks very similar to corn that can be harvested without being able to see subtle color changes in the seven days of his death. Now, thanks to the truly dead corn mod, the dead corn looks like dead bushes, so you don’t waste time trying to harvest anything that can no longer survive.

Shared reading mods are essential for those who play zombie games with friends. When one person picks up and reads a book or magazine, learns the skills associated with it, everyone in your party will unlock the skills at the same time. This makes everything very easy as they no longer have to find the same magazine or get someone with that skill to do all the work. The same applies to the schematic diagram.
Increases bike speed
As much as possible from the rather obvious name, increasing the speed of the bike will increase the speed of the bike in the game. However, it doesn’t undermine how useful this mod is, as standard speeds can be quite frustrating. Rather than implying that mods are exercising at unrealistic speeds, the difference significantly increases travel speeds, while remaining realistic to suit the 7-day dying nature.
Increases all stack sizes
There are plenty of stack size mods for 7 days, some are more configurable than increasing all stack sizes, but this is one of the best and most functional things ever found at 1.0. The only drawback is that this mod automatically increases the stock stack to 30,000 as standard. But so far, there has been no issues with this.
Fast tree growth
One of the first mods we are looking for to create a game will speed up the growth of the game. Naturally, the shortage is a bit disappointing as wood is one of the most important and valuable resources you can find in 7 days to die and is necessary for some craft and building recipes. You can sit and wait for those trees to grow at standard speeds. Alternatively, you can speed up a bit with this fast tree growth mod and quickly return to your workstation.
There is no enemy indicator
No, we’re not saying anything that’s so wrong. In other words no Enemy indicators – and we love this mod. Let’s face it, we play zombie survival games for the challenge and enter into a quest where enemies are shown around you Really Recreate the real life meaning of Zombie Apocalypse. We don’t want to know where they are hiding. We are surprised and hope that we have to think quickly to survive. With Byteblazar’s No Enemy Indicators mod you can do just that. You might just die more.
Rub tiles on the wasteland
This is just a general quality of life mod, driving and cycling over wastelands will make it a much smoother ride. Unfortunately, you cannot use this in the existing world as lowland tiled rubs only work with new maps, but if it’s something that’s frustrating you, it may be worth considering.
From snow to water
This simple mod from the creators of fast tree growth and less wasteland tile rub is a similar godsend and offers recipe options to turn snow into water.
