JT Miller scored for New York, with Igor Shesterkin finishing with 30 saves. The Rangers lost four of their last five games.
Miller advanced New York at 2:10 in the second term, 1-0, and awarded the goal after review. Initially, it seemed that the vast Kuemper had a right pad locked out the pack. However, after a replay was displayed before the goalkeeper’s right skate wiped it out, it was called the goal in the Toronto situation room.
Fiara tied it up with a power play at 9:06, which is still in the mid-term.
Danaw, who plays in his 700th NHL game, led his second power play goal at 2:12 at 2:12 to his second power play goal.
