EL PASO, Texas (Border Report) – Police are investigating the deaths of three men and two women found inside a home in Juarez, southeastern Mexico on Wednesday afternoon.
The deceased was lined up towards the living room floor, whose hands were tied behind their backs with wires. The victim also had wires around the neck, leading investigators to believe they had been strangled, police at the scene said they were news partners for the border report.
Residents of Parages, near San Jose, warned police of the possibility of a foul play after noticing traces of blood near the main entrance and foul smells coming from the home.
Authorities have not disclosed any possible motives. Juarez police are routinely attributable to conflicts over illegal drug sales (mainly crystal methamphetamine) in working-class neighborhoods.
Hours before the alleged Quintuple murder, the owner of the property near Juarez-Casas Grandes Highway called police to report that the dog had dragged a human skull into its front yard. The skull had a large gap at the top.
Juarez police did not say whether they were treating the discovery as a possible murder.
The city recorded more than 1,100 murders last year. The discovery at Parages de San Jose means that Juarez had 14 murders in the first four days of June.
